Looks great. Just a FYI, be careful with tire shine product use before you coat the floor, that stuff wreaks havoc with the bond on floor coatings.

What are those buildings called. I see a lot of guys running detail shops out of that type of building but I don't think there are any around me.
When I google "auto bay for rent" I always get old service stations. What do I google to find a building like that?

haven't seen you posting updates on FB, so i'm taking that as you're super busy taking advantage of being in doors now!

Re: New Shop Build
Even if you have excellent insulation, the idea is to keep the heat from reaching the roof. With a fan, it forces the air back down, as well as the AC, so in reality, it's a win/win. A tad expensive, but on those really hot days, or really cold days, you'll be happy you have it.

thanjs for the tip. Yeah, I was trying to be as cautious as possible before doing the coating, but did an in-depth cleaning first just to make sure. I'm just finishing the last coat today then it'll dry for the weekend and hopefully I can get some pics updated on here next week.

It's just a standard industrial space, not sure if there's a Sid UDC name for them. Sorry I can't help more.

I've had some time for FB updates, but spend more time on IG these days.

Detail cars!!! also planning on storing tires and/or rims for customers in part of it once everything's set up. That'll hopefully offset some of the rent!

Re: New Shop Build
A few updates!
Pretty much finished the waiting room/lunch break/office area (might add a couple little things once I start selling product, but done for now):
Installed my sound system so I can hook up music and finished the floor for the entire shop, no pictures of the back area but it's all the same. I had to do it in two stages, and was quite a project between cleaning, drying, applying and letting cure, but it's done and I love it! NO more concrete dust, clean-up is way easier and their's added grip stuff in the final coat so it's not that slick when wet either. Pictures were taken at night, so there a little dark, sorry
Definitely still a work in progress, but it's coming along and I love it!
