Hey thanks custmsprty. I never knew that but can now understand how little space the paper stock takes up. I hate peanuts.

    You bet.

One pallet of the paper, yes, one pallet space would equal that whole truckload of peanuts. Wow right!
And the paper is 100% recycled with at least 70% post consumer content (meaning we put it out for the recycling truck). So whether the paper is thrown out or recycled it's already a "green" product. That definitely can't be said about polystyrene peanuts.

In my experience they are putting too much paper in their shipments too. I took one of my AG packages to one of my vendors, we took all the paper out and replaced it with an "alternative" interior package material. It weighed 40% less than the paper. I then had the manufacturer ship it to me via UPS and it arrived fine. You have to find the balance between effective packaging and over kill.

My conundrum is I live 3-1/2 hours from AG and it's just too far out of my territory to effectively manage. I cover central Florida. I know I could definitely help reduce their shipping costs which would possibly allow them to lower our shipping costs. Oh well, that's just the way it goes sometimes.

Besides all those great points above...

I grew up in a small logging town called Cottage Grove I Oregon. Back then you either worked in the woods cutting down trees or planning them or you worked in the saw mill making 2x4's or plywood.

Trees are a renewable resources that provides jobs for an entire community plus the turn carbon dioxide into oxygen, a pretty good relationship with us humans last I checked.

    But back on point...

Thanks to all of our customers figuring out they have a CHOICE and can choose paper or peanuts Autogeek has DRAMATICALLY reduced the number of peanuts we use in our shipping process and even MORE DRAMATICALLY INCREASED the volume of paper we use in our shipping process.

The subtle message shared by the pictures of peanuts was I think Nick and team have some eye popping sales all queued up for the holidays.

    What say you Nick?

Whether it's been paper, or peanuts:
No spills, or other damages, to any of
    my products during shipment...Ever!

    As such:
I've always liked the way that AGO's
    warehouse personnel packs my products...
They pack 'em like boxcars full of illegals!
