Advice on what to use on very dirty seats
So I had a client the other day that had tan cloth seats. I used folex, meguiers APC , and bissel spot treatment just because I had it and nothing worked. The seats were basically black from years of never being cleaned. What else do you guys use to clean seats?? The car was a Saturn vue if that matters but just looking for something to use in the future, oh and I also tried steaming as well.

You may have set the stains with that combination. Are you using steam or hot extraction?

^ Yes, what tools are you working with? What about a brush on a DA?

I have a drill brush I use, I also tried steam, started with folex, then my other apc and then steam.

That is about what I use. If the seats were that bad then there was probably nothing you could have done that would be reasonably priced. Sometimes a degreaser that is orange works a little better than APC does.

How long did you let the cleaner dwell before agitation? I find letting it dwell will do more by breaking down the dirt. Hot water extraction may a good option.

It sat for about 5 mins the first pass and then 15 or so the second

Do you have a hot water extractor or Tornador?
Any photos?

I used a Tornador Black on light beige Hyundai Santa Fe sests with 10:1 APC. Turned out very nice. Car is 7 years old and 130,000 moles. Had pizza grease on them. Took all the grim and most of the grease out. Very happy with the results.
