Cleaning inst. cluster lens
What's the best way to clean the plastic lens on the instrument cluster. I never have any luck getting them streak and smudge free and I'm always afraid of scratching them because they seem to be a very soft plastic.
Please, what's the secret?

You could use a plastic cleaner from groits garage or meguiars though what I does is use one spray of window cleaner on a microfiber towel and wipe on one direction then take another dry microfiber and buff/wipe kinda slow to remove any streaks etc

Hey, thanks.
I just want to be sure that window cleaner won't harm the plastic.
Any particular window cleaner better for that than another? What I mean is, would regular Windex be ok, or would one those foaming kind be better?

I uses meguiars d120 window cleaner at 1:10 ratio and leave the windex in the cleaning isles

Re: Cleaning inst. cluster lens
Novus #1 Polish works very good. One tip I've learned the hard way, is to always apply any product to a MF Towel first, massage in, then, and only after insuring the towel is just dampened, then wipe the lens.
Often, these lenses on many vehicles have those stems for the trip Odo's sticking through, and to just liberally spray the product, it can seep through to the other side of the lens creating a nasty mess..

Mothers plastic polish is also nice and works well.
