    Brinkmann dual Xenon vs. Blackfire

Hi was hoping someone here has used both these flashlight/spotlights.

I am ready to drop $$ for a good spotlight. The two names that comes up frequently here are Brinkmann Dual Xenon and Blackfire CREE T6 1000 Lumen LED. They both are in the $25-30 range.

For those who have owned and used both these flashlights, if you had to buy only one of these two for your detailing work, which would it be?

The environment that I detail my car in is an apartment's covered parking garage. It has some incandescent lights which I cannot turn off.. which of the two light would be able to spot swirls better (on a black Altima)?

I Googled the CREE and couldn't find it anywhere, except from the Chinese mfg in 1000 unit lots.
Can you post a link to one available at retail? Or a review of one?

But I have the Brinkman and really like it.

+1 on the Brinkmann...it works really well and the battery lasts a LONG time.

I have a very similar light at home (550 lumen) and it does not do a good job of finding swirls. I think the single light is what throws it off.

Yes, there is no question that Brinkmann works well. This thread though, is to know which one works better. If you are putting down $25-30 for a flashlight, it might be wise to get the best you can get for the $ spent..

Most people suggest that the color/temperature of the light is most important. The CREE flashlight emits a white light, whereas Brinkmann - being Xenon based, will emit a slight Yellow temperature light. Theoretically, the CREE should be better, but if someone has used both, I want to know the practical experience.

Here is a thread where someone claims that it worked well, but did not follow-up with any pics unfortunately.

Get Brinkmann, you'll be amazed how well it works in showing imperfections.

Thanks.. looks like Brinkmann is the winner..

Just wanted to also point out that the CREE is similar to Fenix TK11 (Fenix Gear TK11 R2 - Black LED Flashlight), except it has higher lumens (1000 vs. 240) and lower price ($25 vs $80)
