Any experience with trim sealants on a Chevy Avalanche
Co worker would like to have his black chevy avalanche done. He's a shine enthusiast so I'd like to really make the plastics stand out for him.
I have Wolfgang trim sealant and Ultima trim and tire guard in my arsenal.
The plastics on the avalanche are on the porous side.
anyone ever use either product on this vehicle? Curious as to which one will work the best?

Re: Any experience with trim sealants on a Chevy Avalanche
id hate to suggest this product as i have violating forum rules but since the avalanche has so much plastic, i would suggest a trim nano coating something along the lines of the g-technique trim coating, i think its C4 is the name of it.you could wait untill optimum or car pro comes out with a trim coating. but seems like the c4 has high durability and wont rinse off, contact "IID" as i think he uses some g-technique products. could try the ultima tire and trim guard or wolfgang trim sealant, dont use black-wow durability is crap. meguiars ultimate black/ultimate protectant works pretty good if applied correctly.i would hate for you to buy something and it not work well on a vehicle like the avalanche which the plastic is what your eye catches on more then the paint(imo) and it not work that great. so send IID a pm and im sure he would be able to tell you how the c4 coating works.

You may also want to try some sort of leather and vinyl trim scrub that into the trim sort of moisturizie it then seal it with some sort of dye black trim stuff don't remember off the top of my head but heard pretty good results from that stuff

Not looking to buy anything new since I have two fairly full bottles of ultima and Wolfgang trim products

Either of the 2 products that you have will work fantastically! I use them both often. Also durability is great. The only other product that has better durability (that I've used) is G/techniq C4, but it is quite expensive. If you use C4 you definitely need to up sale it... You will be very happy with the UTTG or WG!

I remember when Jason first posted that. That is one of my favourite details from him. The UTTG was not out yet when he did that vehicle I believe, or perhaps he did not have it on hand to try. It is a great product as you must know since you already have it. The C4 is better, but very expensive and the bottle is small and may not even cover that entire vehicle. I betcha the UTTG will do very well for you.
