eBay Clay?
Out of all the detail products sold today, clay is one of the products that has always seemed somewhat over priced for what it is in my opinion. Clay is all over the world and not exactly a scarce item. So I went to the trusty auction site to see the what the absolute cheapest clay I could get was. I found this cheap blue clay from Hong Kong and figured it might be worth a try for $11/320grams. From a business stand point this is very very cost effective and could even allow some detailer's to charge less for clay barring which could lead to selling more clay bar treatments. As long as it cleans the paint and leaves it glass smooth without any more marring than regular name brand clay does then its a home run in my opinion. I just ordered it so I probably wont get it for 3 weeks or so. Has anyone else tried this clay before?

Haven't tried it, but also interested in saving costs. Post how it works out though.

$5.61(US) for 160g is an excellent deal-only if it works well.Which I do see why it wouldn't?
Please share your findings.

Yea please post feedback when you get it. I agree about clay being so damn expensive for what it is. I just paid 30 dollars for Wolfgang clay and I'm seriously unhappy with it so im in the market for some new clay

I just received mined yesterday. Took about 17 days to ship it to NJ. Can I post a quick review here or is it against rules?

Re: eBay Clay?
I use that very same clay for most of my work. It works great...BUT, it can be on the tough side if it's cold. I keep it heated up in a mason jar of water with a coffee warmer. Keeps it nice and soft, and it works great.
Saves me a TON of money...and when I get a real bad vehicle, I don't feel so bad about tossing it after one use.
I also keep some more expensive fresh clay bars for high end work, or vehicles with soft paint. But overall...I've been more than happy. I buy them 8-10 bars at a time for anywhere between $8-$10 a piece.
I also buy magic erasers off ebay. WAY cheaper, and they work awesome.
