    what do you guys use

to cover up or remove a sloppy job of waxing a vehicle where the white residue in on the black plastic parts like around the mirrors and bumpers..this has a pebblegrain texture plastic. I did scrub it with a toothbrush and hot water......got most of it out but you can still tell. THe tire or plastic dressing does not cover it up....just makes it look shinier....

I been thinkin 'bout tryin some black liquid shoepolish but I am sure there in a better solution.

remember.....I am a noob. BTW I did search for this before I asked so my apologies if this had been answered B4

    thanks ya'll....

There is a product called wax buster, dont think AG sells it. You can use acetone and and towel, just be very careful not to soften the plastic up or the towel will stick to the plastic. Some people have used peanut butter, I havent, so dont know how well that works. I have always used acetone.

Try using Meg's #39 vinyl cleaner. I get mine at the local auto body supply. small areas with a toothbrush, larger ones with a small wheel brush.

I tried peanut butter... worked fairly well but it was messy to clean off itself. Spread it thin and let it sit for a few minutes.

This is the one that I use.
    Duragloss Wax Eraser (WE) #481

Black Wow also says it can be used on wax residue trim. Used BW for the first time yesterday and I'm very pleased.

Brother Ray, Use one of the wax removers as others suggested. Peanut butter? Save it for a sammish.

What he said..both work like a champ.....the wax eraser will disolve the wax and the Black wow will make it look new....for a long time..
