Dropping microfiber
What do you guys do when you drop a microfiber towel? I was wondering whether to throw it away or tediously pick out all the dead grass and debris that gets attached to the towel?
It seems that no matter how hard I try I can't get all the junk out, even after running through the washing machine.

I typically wash them with all the extremely soiled towels and use them around the house.

I sure wouldn't use it on paint if it had "stuff" in it. Designate it to tire duty.

I use it to decorate the inside of the garbage can

Re: Dropping microfiber
throw it in a bucket of water with some apc and let it soak for a while, then go back and see if you can massage/pick out (tweezers) any debris that is still visible before washing it...

Re: Dropping microfiber
Those that say throw it away, fine that's your choice. But at nearly $2.66 per towel for a Gold Plush, I think not. At best the loop and hook (if on regular pavement or near grass) may pick up a few pieces of particulates, grass or dried leaves. Spend a bit of time, pick them out, then I throw it in the bucket filled with Snappy Clean to soak while I press on. At the end of the day, everything goes in the wash (Cold / Extra heavy wash cycle / 2 rinses) with Micro-Restore, then tumble dry, low heat. Then every exterior MF gets a lint roller taken to it, folded and stored.
We're talking about just a regular drop, not drop, landed in motor oil, stepped on it and smeared into the pavement and rolled around in the grass with it right??

If dropped on the grass, I would agree with you, but if dropped on the pavement with sand, tiny gravel, I would toss it. I spend countless hours polishing and a small fortune on coatings and a few specks of sand or gravel will wipe out the finish.

Right, there is no sense risking paint for a two dollar cloth.

Re: Dropping microfiber
Depends on the situation for me.
If a paint rag gets dropped in the grass, ill pic what I can off and throw in dirty bin.
If its on a driveway, depends on if said driveway is wet and how dirty it is.
If its dropped in oil, mud, or dirty area, its garbage.
As for crap rags, at $1 a pop, depends on the situations above as well.
