Did I help?
I have a DAS 15mm and Flex 3401. I use them both.
But I've seen people using it with the same pad and menzerna 400 and it does great?

if you have to choose between one then get the flex (like a hybrid between a rotary and DA). if you get the 4" and 4 3/8 backing plates (comes with a 5.5") you can use a variety of pads from 4"- 6.5". if you want a long throw at some point take a look at the BOSS G15/21..

Pretty much the same point I was going to make.
If I can do it all over again, for a pro grade machine, Flex first.
Then entertain the idea of something else to complement it.
I had the g21 with the five inch backing plate on it and I thought it worked really well. That was also back then when I didn't know about "marking the backing plate".
But also that's a different kind of discussion.
Back on topic....

I personally prefer the high pad speed of the Rupes and less need to apply downward pressure. With the right pad and compound combo I can keep up with some rotary guys.
This was similar to my experience. I got good results, but on heavy compounding it sometimes took two sets of passes, where all things being equal only took one set with the 7424xp. After this happened a few times, I let the Flex go.
The vehicles I did use the Flex on turned out great though. I can't help but think I may have been doing something wrong with the amount of product I put on the pad. I have a line on a good deal for a udes 3401, and am considering getting another one.
I like using the Rupes with their system of pads and polishes, a lot of guys will deviate from that. With the 3401, the world is your oyster from the get go. The Flex is a universal machine, for all pad and polish combinations.

Honestly, if you can not see that, you should not express yourself at all in this topic !!

Deje, thank you for pointing that out. I was more focused on the pads and compound being used.
I guess we are all learning and there is no need to be so aggressive, have a lovely day and thank you once again
