How to get DG501 out of white foam pads?
So I used DG501/601 for the first time on my buddy's white Impreza and can't believe how much it cleaned that paint. However, I also can't believe how impossible it is to get out of my white B&S pads.
I've soaked them in Snappy Clean, tried cleaning with Dawn and LATA, and they are still blue. I've read on an old thread about soaking the faces of the pads in mineral spirits, but I'm a little hesitant to try this for fear of it compromising the adhesive.
Anyone have any success completely removing DG501 from their pads? Does it even matter? I mean, will it affect any future products that I use those pads for?

I've never been successful at totally removing 501. I'd toss the pad.
In my day we didn't have the Internet, iPods,iPads, or smart phones....but we had some really bad-azz cars.

When I get things like that I mark a freezer zip lock 501 and throw it in there for the next time I use 501. On a side note if you go to Costco they have a cleaner " Maintex Heavy Duty Degreaser " that I have used and it has removed a lot of things. It is something like $5.00.

I've also had an impossible time getting all of the blue coloring out of the pads. But I wonder if that's all that is, a color stain? If that's case, then I would think if they're cleaned thoroughly, that they should be fine to use with other polishes.

clean out as much as you can and then reserve that pad for it...

I tend to agree, and I would love to hear some of AG's staff members opinion. It could very well be that what's left is just the color stain, and then there is no point in keeping the pads just for DG501.
