Removing BFCS for OC2.0 - need help

I'm planning to remove any Blackfire Crystal Seal that is left on my car to get ready to apply OptiCoat 2.0.

What is the best way to make sure it is all gone and the paint is prepped for the OC? I will be using the Griott's Garage DAO and I have an orange pad (light cutting) as well as a black finishing polishing pad for final step before OC application.

I have Optimum's GPS to remove any residue left over from the polishing.

Remove your BFCS with a polish. Use an IPA wipe down (mix of alcohol and water-there is a article about it, ill post if I can find if you need it).

Do not use the Optimum GPS--this is a glaze/polish/sealant--your paint needs to be completely free of all of this. The IPA wipedown will assist with that after you polish.

What polish will you be using or what polish do you currently have?

Clay if you need it also

Thanks man. Yea I've mixed IPA before.

Is there a particular polish that will for sure remove it? I have their (Blackfire) finishing polish as well. I didn't think it would be abrasive enough to remove the sealant though.

If you can recommend one, I'd get something that can be used to remove very light clearcoat scratches (guessing finishing polish will do this?) as well as the BFCS; or even two different products if needed. I just want to be sure it is perfect before I apply the OC.

OPT Hyper Polish would be perfect. even though it's compatible with Opti-Coat, i'd still do an IPA wipe after polishing because of the sealant you are removing and would possibly leave residue but who knows if that is really needed when using a compatible polish like Hyper.

yeah, you'll be fine with the Blackfire Finishing Polish, it will do the job.
It will also remove the light clearcoat scratches you mentioned, go ahead and use the orange pad with the finish polish, then do your IPA.

I def understand where you are coming from with wanting it to be perfect before OC, I am actually doing mine soon, just got the OC last week. I have Pinnacle Black Label Coating on the car now.

Wash with citrus wash or dawn
    Clay
    Polish with BFFP
    IPA wipedown
    OC

Remember, the coating will be on there for quite a while. You'll want to get the paint as close to perfect as possible before you put it on. So do a full detail and the CS will be removed in the process. This is how I would approach it.

Ah, I meant to say I have the Pinnacle Black Label Surface Cleanse. This is what I used on my roommate's car, followed by an IPA wipedown before applying the OC. His car didn't have any kind of protection on it at all, though.

I'm honestly not 100% sure if the Black Label Surface Cleanse will remove the Sealant, if that is what you are wanting to use to remove it.

But i'd personally stick with what I said and what wdmaccord said (he gave a perfect simple step by step for it)
