Re: Thanks BobbyG : My paint conditioning results.
Great job! Question, though: isn't 1Z Gummi made for the rubber seals, like weatherstripping, on the interior? I didn't think it was made for the exterior, and maybe that's why it's running in the rain. I think for exterior rubber they recommend 1Z Rubber Protectant. If not, maybe in the future use UTTG or a trim coating, like GTechniq C4 or CarPro DLux.
Thanks for sharing and happy detailing!

I agree with Radarryan
When he said "Rubbers", I mistakenly assumed he was talking about the gaskets around the doors, windows, etc.
In my opinion, CarPro DLUX is amazing for exterior plastic trim pieces, especially textured surfaces.

I also hate when the dirt settles on the paint and leaves streaks around the mirrors etc... It sucks that I could only live in awe one day after the conditioning haha..
Oh well there is always next year! ( I only do it once a year )
I use 845 on my tux black f-150 and it pops ?????

To me the SSII popped more, but again more money. My truck is actually blue, so maybe that color has a different effect? Or unless I'm expecting too much?
My metal flake is muted big time too

I think this is the root cause of the issue here.
Many of the colors today incorporate a flake but not like the reflective flake I've seen in some paints. Some of the colors, especially blacks and darker colors, have a flake but I really have to look for it and at an angle to see it at all.
I did a 2012 black Hyundai Elantra Limited and initiall thought it was a solid black until I caught a sparkle or two in the corner of my eye....This was just the type of paint applied and regardless of what wax or sealant it just wasn't going to make something out of nothing...

The pictures won't load for me at the moment for a color comparison, but I applied 845 to a dark blue pearl Subaru Outback and it looked amazing. I wouldn't say it muted the flake, but it did give the car an amazing warm glossy glow rather than a stark reflective shine. Could that be the same on your truck?
