    Waxing around badges

    Hey guys,
Sorta new to serious detailing. I had a question, while waxing my own car the other day, I found it pretty difficult to tape off the lettering and badges on the back of my car and was wondering if there are any tips or tricks to waxing, polishing etc around those sort of things, or do I just need to suck it up and tape off every letter? Thanks

If you don't want to remove then remount the badges then just tape off the entire area as one piece. It is rare that you really need to polish that area with a buffer anyhow. The main thing is you don't want a bunch of splatter in there that will be a pain to get out afterwards...
I told my wife that a husband is like a fine wine; he gets better with age. The next day, she locked me in the cellar.

Great, thanks for the advice guys. I am also tempted to just de-badge it, I think it might look good!

Go for it. You can always put them back on if you change your mind.

I think I will tomorrow, I think the Honda "H" symbol is bolted on unfortunately so that might have to stay.
