I'd be doing Mohs Evo. Wetcoat or Can Coat once a quarter to boost.

Do you do 1 or 2 layers of Mohs?
And if 2 layers, is the 2nd layer done immediately after finishing the last panel? Or?

Is the applicator that comes with Mohs really good? Or do most people prefer a different 1 than what comes in the box?

1 application is all you need. Personally i dont use the applicators it comes with, i use autofiber coating savers. But the one in the kit will do.

Conclusion: If Cancoat needs a decon wash every 3 months because it becomes “clogged” with a fair amount of iron particles, then what is it really protecting from? A good sealant re applied every 3-4 months could do that minus the iron particles sticking to the paint.

Yes, this IMO. ^^

Keeping coatings or lite-coatings free from dirt/contaminants really do have an affect on its performance. I know that in many situations washing frequently isn't always possible because of life but allowing too long of a period in-between washes can result in this "clogging" from contaminants. Especially when the environment of said vehicle has higher exposure which can be a number of different scenarios.

Last summer, when I applied Megs HPC to my truck, I stuck to a strict maintenance schedule of washing it every 10 days on the money. Did this for like 3-4 months straight. Up until the end, just before it got too cold to wash it by hand, the beading was still nearly like day one with no perceivable drop off in water behavior. My truck is parked in my driveway 24-7, near trees.

Now, in contrast, I applied HPC to my neighbors Avalon a month or so before I did my truck. They never wash their cars by hand. They just run it through a touchless car wash maybe once a month, if that. When I did a hand wash like 4 months later, the beading was mostly all gone. Slow sheeting near the top and dead flat on pretty much all horizontal areas. I applied iron decon to the lower half and it did absolutely nothing.

I think this was good evidence to show that a consistent proper maintenance plan really does work. Even if it means running it through a touchless car wash once a week (not once a month, lol).

I agree with opie, i.e. one layer is all i need.

I use the same applicator's as him too.

13 months in on my original Can Coat application. I use 3D Bead it up as a drying aid and it's still slick and beads water with the best of them.
I don't "over think" it.

Also, if I wind up using Mohs, I want to call it Mows, or Moes. Mohs sounds a little boujee to me.lol.
