    New car coating advice

    Hey Guys,
New car coming. CX-5 or a Rav4. The wife and I have not decided just yet. I'm looking to coat the cladding and rims only. I would like to do the whole car but I do not have 24 hour access to a pristine garage to do the prep and coating over the course of a few days. I also enjoy doing my twice a year complete intense paint and interior detail sessions. I need advice for a long term coating for the trim and rims (year plus). I would love a one does both to keep the cost and waste down. My guess is that whatever I do not use will go to waste sitting for a year plus. If anyone has any ideas let me know. The only coating I know of that would do both is Opti-Gloss coat. Speed and ease of use would be bonus as well Since the coating would all need to be done in a weekend.

    Thanks in advance.

Gyeon Rim and Gyeon Trim have worked well for me. Add Tuff Shine for the tires and you'll be good to go for long periods of time.

Be sure to use super thin coats.
