True, and even then almost half the price of something like Carpro Perl, which I would give a slight edge in durability, but not enough to justify the cost difference. I don't get sling with Hyper Dressing but I don't have the tire dripping wet and give it at least 1/2 hour to dry. If my wife was in labor (which would be something at our age) and we had to get to the hospital, I would say, "Hang on Honey" and hit the tires with a leaf blower to dry them faster to avoid sling.

Good to hear. Hope it worked well for you.

Re: Best way to apply hyper dressing to tires

I’ve used a ton of tire dressings and I find that hyper dressing DOES have OK longevity. It will outlast cheaper on the shelf products. In my case it lasts more than one rain. I buy the gallon and dilute it per instructions on the label. 1:1 hi gloss 2:1 shiny 3:1 matte 4:1 natural-I believe.

I do squirt some optimum tire gel in with my HD. Met many people who dilute 1:1. Great on engines.

I spray the tires down and move to the exterior windows. I come back about 2-4mins later and rub in with applicator then clean the overspray off the wheels.

Tuff Shine applicator with Chemical Guys VRP is the way to go for me.

I see many people opt to spray tire dressing on the tire. Doesn't this get tire dressing all over the wheels?

It does, but being a water based dressing it wipes right off the wheels.

I did take a short drive yesterday. When I got back I inspected the sides for sling. Did not notice any. Spraying the tire directly like I did, does use more product no doubt. Maybe next time I will spray HD on a tire applicator and apply it that way to see if that makes any difference. Another method that I have not tried yet is to buy a flagged tipped wheel brush, spray it on the brush, and apply it that way.

That’s why I like (water -based dressing) it. No long term build up.
