    Re: Meguiars Paint Protect

Just got some today. Here are my thoughts thus far:
    - Application is very easy. I used a yellow foam applicator and made a small x with the product. Applied it using a cross-hatch pattern.
    - Removal is effortless. After five minutes I wiped it off with no issues.
    - Slickness is amazing.

I applied this product to the roof and trunk lid of my daily driver. This car is the test mule for most of my detailing products. I will continue to update regarding durability. We are supposed to get some weather tomorrow so I'll take some pictures of the beading.

    Good to know.

Mine is scheduled to show up Thursday, but it's going to be too cold to do anything, so no testing for me for a while.

What did you think about the look of it?

How much product did it take? Very little?

    Re: Meguiars Paint Protect

As far as looks...can't really say much because my car is already polished. It didn't take much product at all. A very thin X bead on the small yellow applicator pad was all I needed for half of the roof.

It is interesting to note Meguiars does not advertise on the bottle or in print anything about this product gloss or shine, just protection.

Not to start a war, however the whole point of it is for protection. Get the glossiness from your compounding and polishing and then seal it up with the LSP of your choice.

It was designed for durability. When I saw this in person at one of the thursday night garage's that Meguiar's hosted, it did darken the paint very little. It was compared side by side with Ultimate Wax and Ultimate wax was darker and glossier.
