Someone tell me about DP wheel cleaner...

because i spent $50 on a gallon of it yesterday. I always buy griots original wheel cleaner but they were out of stock.

Hopefully with the discount it's worth the extra few bucks.

Any tips/tricks for using this stuff?

I've never tried it but it's looks straight forward. I have not found a DP product that disappointed so I'm sure you'll like it....

    Pretty straight forward,

    • Work on wheel that is cool to the touch
    • Clean one wheel at a time
    • Rinse wheel with water first
    • Spray cleaner on and agitate wheel with a brush
    • Rinse off before cleaner can dry
    • Repeat to the rest of the wheels
    • Can also be used on tires to remove blooming and road grime

I think I demonstrated this on our TV show on a 1971 Chevelle. We have not been given the file yet but it should be on YouTube this week.

Does this product work well, and safely, and tires and wheel wells?

I've only been using it for 6 months but find it works well. You can even dilute it with water when the wheels are only moderately dirty. I also used it to clean up a bicycle that was in storage for 16 years and it worked well for that. It even works for light to moderate engine cleaning.

Wife loves it ... nice safe wheel cleaner, just use some general precautions as Mike offered above.
