Leatherique
OK, I tried Leatherique for the 1st time over this holiday weekend. I did as instructed massaged the "oil" in a few times, covered with a large trash bag and put the car in the sun. I left the oil on for a total of 24 hours (not all of it in the sun). Last night a sprayed on the Leatherique Pristine Clean, scrubbed gently with a vegetable scrubber, removed with a MF towel, rinsed the MF in warm water and removed some more. The seats are 20 years old, never been treated and have had a few applications of Armor All during their lifetime. While they are much softer, I feel that I they could be softer. Also, the driver's side bolster has some creases that I would love to minimize. Should I repeat the entire process? Should I use just the Pristique Clean? Does the "Clean" have any softening properties? THANKS to all who reply!

What order did you use the products?

Re: Leatherique
I did as instructed - lathered on the "oil" (honey colored product). Left it on for 24 hours followed by the "clean" (milky colored product). I am not complaining - I am just looking for softer leather.

Re: Leatherique
Leatherique will not remove creases. You could do it a second time, but leather likely wont show a substantial increase in softness.

Re: Leatherique
What kind of car/leather is it? If it is coated leather don't over expect results in softness. The oils can't really penetrate the coating. What you want to accomplish is getting it clean then protecting it so it will last longer. Like Killr said it won't remove creases or cracks. Just feel good that it is clean and you added life to it.

I would give it another coat, being the leather is 20 yrs. old and never been treated.

Re: Leatherique
At 20 years old I doubt that they are coated leather. I think that you can only expect so much from leather that has been neglected for two decades. Having said that why not try the procedure one more time? What do you have to lose?

Re: Leatherique
I just used it on 2 black leather interiors(8 year old Infiniti, and 17 year old GM- C4), left it on 36 hour in the sun(OK it was dark for like 9 hours). It made quite a difference in the softness of the seats(the C4 seats were very stiff). In the past I have only let the oil dwell for 6-8 hours, and the additional time made a real difference. Overall, I have been very impressed with this product.

Re: Leatherique
Do it again. It'll make it softer, maybe not like new but it'll be softer.
