    Taking pictures???? (New PCXP user)

About 2 weeks ago I get the PC7424XP with XL pad kit and M105/205 combo.
Yesterday weather was good enough to try it out.
First I’d like to thank Mike P. for his How To video for PCXP as I followed and got great results.

Question regarding the pictures, what am I doing wrong that they are not coming out all that good. I know that it’s only a camera phone but I thought that I’d get better pics. Any advise?

There is most of your answer.

You need a camera with manual focus. Auto focus will pick the object it sees and focus on it. Manual focus will allow you to focus on the surface of the paint and show swirls or the lack thereof. Lighting is also key.

My guess is that the camera in your phone is having trouble focusing on specific points (paint surface). A lot of times, a camera will focus on what's reflecting in the paint and not the surface itself.
