    meguiars #34 and D155, differences?

anyone who knows these two products, what are the differences? i've heard people using 34 to wipe away polish and check work, but it says it contains gloss enhancers. same for d155.

what would the difference between these two be for people who know them?

    TIA

For me, M34 is used much the same way Eraser would be used to remove stubborn M105 after compounding and to check work.

D155 is very slick and works very well as a clay lubricant.

For using as a stand alone QD, I choose D155 every time over M34.

    M34:
-According to Meguiar's: M34 does not have gloss enhancers.
-Use to remove fingerprints, dust, light contaminant (which would, technically, enhance existing paint-gloss)
-Is ideal to evaluate paint repairs/look for surface defects
    -Its paintable/body-shop-safe

    D155:
-Has some of Meguiar's T.S. "Conditioners"
-Use to remove fingerprints, dust, light contaminants
    -Makes an excellent clay-lube
    -Is not paintable/body-shop-safe

    Hope this helps some.

i guess their wording was a bit confusing for the description. they keep mentioned leaving high shine and things like that

Final Inspection pulls the ultimate shine out of the car’s finish, leaving an ultra bright, eye popping sparkle that gets noticed.
The formula discourages the settling of new dust and the ultra-brighteners bring out the depth of the paint’s color while the shine enhancers leave a glass-like mirror finish.

This is from Mike Stoops over on the Meguiats forum.

Just for the record here, M34 Final Inspection is the ONLY mist and wipe product we make that is body shop safe, meaning it contains no silicones or other ingredients that could negatively the painting process. It was designed for the removal of compounding dust, hard to remove compound residue, etc while still offering that body shop safe appeal. That certainly does not mean you can't, or shouldn't, use it as your go to QD spray. It won't give you the hydrophobic polymer water beading of UQD or M135, the darkening of Gold Class QD, nor the slickness of Last Touch, but if otherwise it delivers everything you're looking for and you like using it, cool.Michael Stoops

    So...
My descriptions of M34 & D155 were just chopped liver?

    hah, not at all.

more along the lines of seeing a direct quote from a person involved in the product itself vs a direct quote of a product description. we all know how carried away people get when they create those product descriptions.

"this product is all in one, put it in a bottle, detail your car.... put it in a bucket, wash your car!!!! put it on a sandwhich, feed the whole family!!!! yes sir folks this product does it all!"
