Question about Meguiar's Pure Polish and Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax

I plan on using these products on my car and I have couple of questions.

    1. Do I apply the Pure polish and then apply the wax OR apply pure polish, remove it and then apply the wax?

    2. Can I also apply pure polish and then apply DP Detailer's Paint coating?

    Thank you so much.

Re: Question about Meguiar's Pure Polish and Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax

    1.)
•Even though ULW is technically a Sealant...
-M07 Pure Polish should be compatible with ULW.

    •With that being said:
-Apply the Pure polish and then apply the "Wax"

•IMO: M07 may not be needed prior to the ULW application, if:
The paint has been clayed/compounded/polished/"corrected" to a level that's satisfactory...and acceptable: To You.

    2.)
    •No.
-The paint needs to be "squeaky clean".

    •Here's DP Paint Coating Directions:

    1. Ensure surface is cool to the touch and out of direct sunlight.
    2. Place your hand in a plastic sandwich baggy and feel the paint. If it feels rough or gritty, use Detailer’s Universal Detailing Clay.
    3. Polish the paint using Detailer’s Coating Prep Polish. This step is crucial as it will remove below-surface contaminants and imbedded dirt.
    4. Working one panel at a time, spray Detailer’s Paint Coating directly onto the paint and evenly distribute using a Lake Country Coating Applicator.
    5. Work the coating into the paint until it disappears.
    6. If high spots occur, lightly buff with a clean, soft, lint-free microfiber towel.

Thank you FUNX. That is confusing sometimes. Different companies have different meaning for polishes or sealant.

One more question. Can I use Car Pro's Eraser in substitute to DP's Coating prep polish?

    Your Welcome.
    And: Yes they do.

•People have been known to substitute one "prep-product" for another.

•I'll suggest to stay within the same Product-line:
    -Compatibility.
    -Synergy, if you will.

Pics of the finished product! I used ULW on a black Mazda once and was quite impressed for an OTC product. It had a really nice gloss to it and was super easy to apply. Good luck!

    An OTC product?
    Buying a product OTC:
Is that supposed to be a "bad thing"?

Tens, Hundreds, Thousands, (probably "Billions and Billions" ~Carl Sagan) of online stores stock and sell a variety of Meguiar's products, including ULW.
AGO is one such online store.

Should "Shame" be heaped upon their (seemingly) unrepentant-Souls?

I was merely trying to differentiate between their "pro line" and non pro line. Probably just worded it wrong! You're Right, I see the ULW being sold on many sites geared towards professionals an enthusiasts alike.

None the less, my comment was to say that I was impressed with it and I feel it's not usually compared to other "higher end" (more expensive) lsp's.

Some people consider M105/M205 to be part of Meguiar's "pro line".
I've seen them being sold, and I have purchased them OTC.

Even Adam's---about as "boutique" as there is---has products being sold OTC. Are they no longer "high end"?

Guess it all depends on perspective and advertising too. I havnt seen Adams in stores besides licensed dealers. They have really high prices, but doesn't mean it's high end stuff. I had a gallon of their APC and then realized why am I paying $25+ when I can get some Meg's APC for $10.

Adams and chemical guys market the snot out of their products. Watch their videos and you think, "man I have to have this!" Then do some searching and find a similar product that does the same thing and save some $ haha.

Apply the polish and then remove it without letting it dry.

No... all paint coatings need a squeaky clean surface to bond to.
