What's the difference in this and the FX Synwax? Will it stain trim?

Not sure. I'll let the great Mike P or Forrest answer that for you. I havent tested it yet, however I dont apply wax or sealant to trim

The synthetic wax is designed for darker color cars to give that rich color and depth where as fx synwax is more tailored towards lighter colored paints. That's straight from the chemist mouth that I spoke with over the phone about 3 weeks ago. And yes it will stain trim. Apply B2B to the trim before you wax and you wont have a problem.

Just a follow-up since I created this thread...

The project is finished and the pictures have been posted showing the results of both the correction and polishing work and also the application and removal of the Mothers Synthetic Paste Wax.

Pictures: 1959 Impala - Mothers Extreme Makeover!

Here's a few pictures, over 100 pictures showing before, during and after in the actual thread.

    Bubble Top
If you've ever heard the term bubble top when referring to a classic car, this is what they are talking about. This is a Bubble Top Impala.

Check out the HUGE back window...
