Opti-Guard / Coat 2.0
Does contamination still stick so it needs claying? (or something like Iron X) Especially on the wheels.

Re: Opti-Guard / Coat 2.0
I don't use Opticoat on paint, but love it wheels! It just stays clean longer and brake dust wipes off easily. Even stubborn stains come off with a pressure washer rinse.
If you clay and Iron X your wheels first then OC, I do not see the need for claying the wheels again for 2-3 years. I'm expecting 5 years in California climate. YMMV.

The wheels already have Opti-Guard on them.

Gotcha. So far I've not had to clay OC wheels and it's been over a year. Have you baggy tested the wheels to see if there are bonded contaminates?

Its been a couple of years since I did them. Just wondering if contaminants could still bond to it or not. I haven't felt the wheels yet.

Try 22ple wheel coating. I think it makes the wheels a little shinier then opti coat and everything falls right off

They feel slightly rough when I used the plastic bag test.

Re: Opti-Guard / Coat 2.0
Hey does anyone know how long does OC2.0 takes to cure? before it can see water/rain?
-
Re: Opti-Guard / Coat 2.0
About 1 hour before it can get wet. 24 hours before a wash. Months to fully cure.
