    105/205 & Hydro pads

I think I read somewhere 105/205 are SMAT products and I thought I came across a thread stating the hydro pads work better with DAT products.

Can someone give me some feedback on this combo. Yes/no

Or should I pull the trigger on 400/4000? I really would like to finish at least half my Megs stuff.

I'll be working on a black sequoia btw

    Re: 105/205 & Hydro pads

I would say it's more like DAT works better with HT or flat pads. They should be fine with M105/205. I use my ccs pads with M105/205 only because I am trying to get rid of them and then will probably only use flat pads for everything.

These are the hydro thin pads I'm referring too. Sorry should have mentioned that.

I'm in the same boat trying to finish up 105/205 I don't believe in wasting products unless they don't perform and we all know 105/205 does!!

I just wanted some real time feedback with this combo...

As I said, you will be fine with the hydrotech pads and M105/205. If anything you might see a little more bite/work time with the closed cell hydrotechs because less product will be absorbed into the pad. I just switched to HT's for my sealant pads because it seems so much gets wasted into the pad with open cell flat and ccs pads.

I use Hydrotech pads for any polish. I like M205 on Tangerine.

My sequioa is in decent shape, I'm really hoping to start with 205/tangerine.

Thanks to both of you for your feedback

    Re: 105/205 & Hydro pads

I personally prefer to use a ccs or flat pad instead of HT, really don`t think this pads can perform better than the 2 first mentioned above. I gave them a few try but not satisfied. 105/205 is a good combo to go with for sure!!

    Re: 105/205 & Hydro pads

I think I've found a home with Hex Logic's pads. Particularly with a two step, I like their open cell pads, the green cutting/polishing, and blue polishing/finishing.

One of the nice features of the open celled pads for me is that I use a lot less product, and the pad itself has some bite to it. If I need anything more agrees I've than the green Hex Logic, I move over to the Rupes microfiber discs.

Another great pad is Lake Country's pink, and green ccs pads.
