    Griot's Pads

How do Griot's Orange and Red pads stack up against the other pads that seem to be favored here ? For the record I have been using them for over a year now with no problems. Am I missing something?

    Re: Griot's Pads

I've been using Griot's pads for over ten years and have had no problems at all. I'm not saying whether there's better pads out there as I've not tried other brands. The Griot's do the job and do it very well so I have no reason to consider a change.

I'm sure there's other fine pads and people will choose what they believe is better. That's the free market at work and I'm all in favor of that.

I've been using the orangte and red GG pads for about 4 yrs w/o a single problem. I also bought one of their black pads but haven't gotten a chance to try it out yet but will be doing so come spring of 2014.

    Re: Griot's Pads

I've used, CCS Smart Pads 5.5 and “Lake Country 5” Hybrid Pads” on my Griot's Garage 6 random orbital. And the above pads are great pads and fun to work with. Griot's flat pads are my favorite for most of my polishing needs. Also, they are easy to clean and you can see what has been removed on flat pads.

I learned a lot about pads not just by using them but, in Mike's book (The Complete Guide to a Show Car Shine) has taught me a lot about pads and the book has save me money on what to buy and not to buy for my particular needs in polishing....
