    Hybrid vs. Hybrid Force Pads

I'm a Flex 3401 user most of the time and have been using the LC Hybrid pads. Are the Hybrid Force Pads much better than the original Hybrids?

Which do you like better and why? TIA

    Hey Lane,

I'm an original 5" hybrid pad user on my Flex. I use the factory 4 3/8" backing plate so with the old pads there is a tiny bit of backing plate overhang. I ordered the new force pads but have yet to use them. I can say they seem more robust and full and fit the 4 3/8" backing plate much better. Really looking forward to trying them out.

Re: Hybrid vs. Hybrid Force Pads

I have several, in white, orange and gray. I for the life of me cannot get the gray pads to work for me. I have used Menz 400 and 2500 with the gray pad, the pad seems to bounce around and produce inconsistent product dispersion. The white pads work phenomenal with Megs reconditioning cream. I got the same result with Menz 2400 on the white. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Same car, with hybrid and menz 2500 works just fine. The density of the pad seems to be what gives me issues.

Force gray + Megs M101 can really take care of some bad stuff in 4 passes on a Flex; finishes pretty nice as well. Sometimes the 6.5" pads can take ya for a ride but the 5.5" on the 4 3/8 backing plate is relatively normal. Gray pads can wear quicker than most but they can sure eat up the defects. Have used the white with Sonax Perfect Finish and came out really nice. M205 on white works quite well too.

Have used orange with the Megs 101 as well as a kinda one-step on a black Ford Focus and it turned out surprisingly nice.
