I prime every pad regardless of material.

    Re: Fast finishing pad

I've used the fast finishing pad with their Complete Compound. Took me a little getting used to, but I've had good results. I prime the whole surface, then just make sure to check in on it standing the nap up when changing sections.

Thanks guys. I hadn't heard much about the microfiber finishing pad. I found some pads for cheap so I figured I'd grab a couple and try them out before I ordered a few six-packs of assorted off autogeek.

FWIW, here's a junkyard bumper before/after of my most recent go around with the fast finishing pad and complete compound. Fast finishing pad-imageuploadedbyagonline1465107209-603459-jpgFast finishing pad-imageuploadedbyagonline1465107223-081564-jpg

    Re: Fast finishing pad

That came out good. So did you use that combo as a one step process or would you still polish that after? And would you not use that pad to do final polish, mostly compounding?

Only use a MF pad for finishing when the paint is HARD.

    Re: Fast finishing pad

The complete compound is just for correction. In this case I followed it with GG One Step Sealant (which I think counts as an AIO) using an orange polishing pad to match what was on the rest of the car.
