Backing plate cutting into foam pad
Im using a 6.5" foam soft buff meguiars cutting pad with a meguiars 7" backing plate on a gg6 and the plate cuts into the backside of the foam pad .Any suggestions?

I'll suggest to use Meguiar's 5" B.P.

The plate that comes with the GG6 is 6" and should work fine with a 6.5" pad. You need a little wiggle room at the end of the pad. The BP shouldn't hang over the Velcro. If so, it can cut into the soft foam.

Indeed, the W67DA BP go with the 6.5's. Can also be used with the 5" MF Discs.
