    Quietest DA Buffer

Hey guys I am looking for a DA that is quieter than my Porter Cable. I detail out of my townhouse and I want to be respectful of my neighbors. I have asked them before and they said they can barely hear it but I would still like to find something quieter if possible. Thanks Guys

    Welcome to AGO.

For a standard DA the GG6 gets my vote.

I have been looking at both of those. I did read somewhere that the GG6 was a lot quieter than the Porter Cable. Thanks for the responses guys! I also just noticed I posted this in the wrong place. Sorry about that.

Ive read that opening up the DA and re-packing with high-quality grease makes them much quieter.

A quiet DA is a oxymoron. They are noisier than a rotary polisher.

That's a stretch. A wee bit quieter maybe.

GG and the PC are about the same in noise. GG is a little smoother.

Agreed. Rupes is quieter, but also a million times smoother than the GG or PC. The smoothness makes it feel like its humming along vs the air hammer effect you get with the other DAs.

I'll second this. I find the Megs to be quieter than the gg6. Maybe it's just me

Agreed there. Rotaries just don't get cranked up like DAs. I never go past 1200rpms/3 setting on mine unless I am drying a pad.

I would rate the noise level from loudest to quietest:
    PC
    GG6
    Flex 3401
    Rupes
