3m pad comparison?
I just got a couple 3m pads as a gift and am trying to research what the cut on them is. But I can't find a comparison chart anywhere. I did however find a site that said the foam was the same as lake country. Does anyone know if this is true?
I have the White, grey, and blue perfect-it pads.
Thanks in advance for the help.

If you look at the links that Waxy provided you'll see that the white is a compounding pad, the gray/black is a polishing pad and the blue is an ultra fine polishing pad.

Maybe I'm not asking the question right. I know what their cut is, I just have never had them before and was curious if they are comparable to lake country cut wise by color.

Re: 3m pad comparison?
Hi, Dan with 3M here. These pads are designed to be used with our Perfect-It Paint Finishing system. The white pad is to be used with our Perfect-It Rubbing Compound, 06085. The black pad to be used with our Perfect-It Machine Polish, 06064, and finally the bue pad with our Perfect-It Ultrafine Machine Polish, 06068. For more information, visit our website at 3M.com/automotive.
Good Luck!

No, they are different.

3M's Dan says there isn't a comparison chart available on the pads. If you need additional info, please email him at dmwittek@mmm.com.
