Microfiber Pad on a PC 7424?

    Hey everyone!

Quick question - I'm looking to finally grab a couple of microfiber cutting pads (looking at the Meguiars ones) but I use a PC 7424 with your typical velcro backing plate that I use to attach my LC foam pads to. My question is - do I need any kind of interface pad to go in between the velcro backing and the MF pad to give it some cushion, or does the MF pad slap right on there?

    Thanks in advance!

no need for a foam interface, just slap the microfiber pad on the backing plate (appropriate size) and you're good to go...

Make sure to stick with a thin microfiber pad, like the Megs pads in the post above. Thicker MF pads (Buff & Shine and Griots) will not correct as efficiently on this machine.

The orange/black Buff and Shine Microfiber pads work great on the 1st gen 7424. It's actually my preferred pad on that tool.
