Re: Need Some Help Picking My First DA Pads

Just a quick update on this thread. When a recent sale was on, I completed my order of pads. I actually ordered LC Flat pads in Orange, White, and Black. However, they sent me LC CCS pads in the same color. Maybe this was due to stock of the Flat pads, but not sure. At this point, I either:
    A. Consider myself lucky for receiving a slightly more expensive (better?) pad at no additional cost?
    B. Contact AutoGeek to ask that they swap these back to what I ordered?

What do most of you think? Basically, this boils down to whether the CCS pads are a good pad to use and start with.

Re: Need Some Help Picking My First DA Pads

I used CCS pads with my PC, and still have a number of them. For AIO, I understand they may not be the best choice since they are closed cell foam and there are a couple write ups about how that is detrimental, but I've seen no ill effects. I did buy some thin pros and find they take fewer passes. I know the Griots polisher has a little stronger motor than the PC, but if I put even the slightest bit of extra pressure on it, the rotation stops. I've done correction on a grand total of 5 vehicles and I feel comfortable using both. Take your time, you'll be fine.
