    Microfiber cutting pads

Im looking at some microfiber compounding pads. Anyone have luck with them? How do they compare to a wool compounding pad?

Yes, Microfiber cutting pads are extremely affective when paired with a da polisher.

Pair a long throw with a microfiber cutting pad, and you will see excellent cutting results with no rotary holograms.

Check out this thread i did on a black zr1

I used the boss microfiber cutting pads, and autogeek carrys them. They are bulletproof, cut excellent and get the job done.

What machine are you using ?

On a DA they work better than wool, the more longer the throw the better they work. On a Rotary, wool works best.

I'm still using a rotary buffer but I'm in the market for a da. I've been doing some research and I think I'm ready to make the switch for most of my buffing work. So in the meantime is it not a good idea to use with the Rotary?

Nope, don't bother until you get a DA. The mechanical action of a rotary doesn't work in harmony with MF pads.

I'd agree with both comments above.

I'm not fan of MF pads on DA polishers but that' just me. I prefer foam. If I need to cut heavy I'll use a wool pad on a rotary or a wool pad on a FLEX 3401 or an Orange Hybrid pad on a FLEX 3401.

Get in, get the job done. Get out.

Why aren't you a fan of MF pads on a DA?

MF make for a much cleaner process. foam pads, especially cutting pads, can be a mess.

    Re: Microfiber cutting pads

The Megs MF system couldn't be easier for those with the older DA polishers.
In my day we didn't have the Internet, iPods,iPads, or smart phones....but we had some really bad-azz cars.
