    Black Diamond tire gel

I ordered some Black Diamond tire dressing and... was having problems applying it to my

tires. I searched the forum and now have a question. Should the gel be "milky" or

"clear"? I wouldn't say it's like water but i was surprised how thin it was. Probably would

have just kept using it if it wasn't for finding others who recieved "bad" product.

    Re: Black Diamond tire gel

I have 2 bottles of Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel and both of mine exhibit similar characteristics. Both are milky in color and are very thin as well. The temperature in my shed is just a bit over 80 degrees so temperature isn't coming into play here.

Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel is truly a gel and ruby red in color. While it does become thinner in higher temperatures it is transparent and could be classified as a gel while the Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel is NOT EVEN CLOSE TO A GEL...

If this is a defective product both of mine are defective as well.............

    Re: Black Diamond tire gel

Mine was Carmel/gray in color and when I put it on the tire pad it stays in a line, like mustard, I wipe in with one swipe of the finger (in my glove) and put it on the tire.

Used it today. They say a little goes a long way so that is the way I used it.

If I am wrong let me know but the results are pretty good on the tire. I just used it on my daily driver today and the wife’s car last week. Put two coats on her vehicle as it does not get driven but once or twice a week. 2 coats did look a little better.

    Thanks
    Jim

    Re: Black Diamond tire gel

Quite some time ago I did a test of 5 different tire products and Wolfgang Black Diamond was among them. I received it as a free sample and could have sworn it was a Red Gel much like Pinnacle Black Onyx.

I'm sitting here scratching my head and decided to open and pour a full bottle into a clean glass jar; here is what it looks like...

Brand New Bottle and it poured like water..

    Look familiar to anyone??

Hey bobbyG, my tire dressing looks the same as yours. This is probably correct. I will use

the tip of rubbing the dressing into the applicator with my finger though. Good tip!

After posting my photos I took yesterday afternoon I also sent a PM to Meghan pointing her to this thread and also the apparent non-gel solution many of us have been discovering. I asked if this is typical of what they have in stock there and if this is what the product should look like, loose and separated..

As soon as I hear something I'll post it here...

    Re: Black Diamond tire gel

I have 2 gallons of the wolfgang and mine is clear. It is the consistancy of syrup but more on the clear side. Hmm... I would like to see what AG says. I dont care, mine is working just fine but am now just curious.
