Fuzion durability and maintenance?
On my never ending search for the perfect lsp for me, I have just recently acquired Fuzion and I'm truly impressed. I've never used a paste wax this easy before. I don't normally stick with an lsp for long, but I'm thinking about giving this one a longer chance. What durability are people typically seeing? I've searched but no one really says. My car is outside 24/7 and washed weekly. Do you guys maintain it with fuzion spray wax weekly? Do you apply the paste wax monthly?
I don't want to waste a product this expensive, but I also really want to keep this amazing shine

Re: Fuzion durability and maintenance?
3-4 months. Its a nice wax. Attracted tons of dust for me. So I only use it for show off purposes for free details now.
But honestly. Don't worry about durability if you're going to apply once a month. I mean one tub has easy 50 applications. Thinnest easiest spreading wax I ever used.
Back to the full-time grind.

Re: Fuzion durability and maintenance?
I have it on my garaged weekend driver as a topper for WG DGPS. I use Optimum spray wax as a drying agent when I wash. I don't plan on topping this car again with Fuzion until I feel like it. I won't be needing it because the Fuzion is worn out, I'll be doing it again because I feel like doing it again.
My experience is also that this is the easiest on and off wax I've ever used.

Re: Fuzion durability and maintenance?
•I consider Füzion Carnauba Polymer
Estate Wax a (hybrid) Sealant...
-with an expected durability, [based
solely on its own (untouched) merits],
that is counted in months.
•Füzion Spray Wax:
-Similar in content to Füzion Carnauba
Polymer Estate Wax...I also consider
Füzion Spray Wax to be a (hybrid)
Sealant (just comes in a spray "form"):
-A near-perfect synergistic maintenance
product for use as either a "topper", or
a "drying-aide", to complement/augment
Füzion's fantastic characteristics, IMO.

Although I have little doubt that Fuzion spray wax is a great product and drying aid I just ordered my second gallon of Optimum spray wax with the 25% off sale which comes in at $37.49 for the gallon. I use Optimum spray wax for UV more that finish. I use it on every horizontal surface of our four vehicles.

I'm a big fan of Optimum Spray Wax also, but the Fusion Spray wax is the best spray wax I have used as far as looks.

Re: Fuzion durability and maintenance?
I can actually expect 3 months on a vehicle that is outside 24/7 and with no spray wax to boost it? Given the appearance, it really looks like a wax that would last weeks at most. I figured I would have to apply it monthly or spray something on it every week. If I can truly apply it every three months that would save a lot of time and allow my pot to out last me
So, I guess my question is, how often do you apply it to ensure constant protection without wasting product? I know that's not an easy question to answer, I'm hoping someone has experience with this on a DD and can tell me their routine so that I can get a good idea.

Re: Fuzion durability and maintenance?
How long any product last is such a huge unknown simply due to all the variables... mostly how the paint is "touched" after final wipe-off of the wax as anything that touches the surface means there's the potential for micro-abrasion.
- Wash frequency
- Type of car wash soap
- Wash media
- Climate - Wet weather or extreme sun?
- Prep before wax application
- Car storage or parking? Is it inside a garage a night but outside in a parking lot during the work week? Or outside 24x7
The above is just off the top of my head...
I'd say the most important factor as to how long ANYTHING will last comes down to primarily how the paint is touched after application and final wipe. For most people this will mean how the car is washed,
- Owner wash
- Brush style automatic wash
- Soft mop automatic wash
- Touchless wash
- 100% Hand Car Wash
- Professional Detailer Maintenance Wash
- Charity wash
Did I miss any?

Re: Fuzion durability and maintenance?
In my opinion and experience, the best way to get the longest life out of a coat of car wax or a synthetic paint sealant or even a coating is to take ownership of the car washing process and then
Use high quality product including your wash mitt, car wash soap and drying towels
Use good technique - most people don't think about how they move a wash mitt over a body panel
Here's my article on how to carefully wash a car with a ceramic paint coating but the tips and techniques would be even MORE IMPORTANT and have more application to a car with a wax or sealant on the paint.
