Then why are you posting about it? I doubt someone would ask for pics if the didn’t want to see.....

So Monday morning, checking on the forum since the weekend is over and I find this thread, and this last post in this thread from the guy that was looking for help removing sanding marks and "HOPEFULLY" not sanding and then buffing through the clearcoat.

    fjhrmg,

The product you found is the entry level compound in the Griot's line. It works. It's not great and wipe-off is s tick on the difficult side. The product others were talking about in this thread is the BOSS line in the Griot's brand.

You can see the BOSS line of product here,

Griots Garage BOSS Long Throw Orbital Polisher System

It's been a month or so since your last post? Whatever became of your sanding problem?

    Re: Sanded off clear coat

Although I haven't started sanding the clear coat off on the van, looks as if I'll get my chance in a few weeks. just gathering up a few things before we begin. I sent an image to the wife the other day about how some of the vans look in UK.. these are MS-RT Transit Connects. They have added ground effects and 18'' Oz wheels.. but the image i sent her, has even larger wheels and the van has been slammed. it's part of a mobile detailing service in UK.

Based on this image, Let's see if you can tell what our next projects will be. I told my wife my thoughts on this.. and she agreed.. "Let's Do it" Like I have enough on my plate so I need to focus on one thing at a time. But all of this needs to be completed before Sept. *Facepalm*

    Re: Sanded off clear coat

We've yet to start on masking off the rear stripe on the van because of other matters to attend to. But we're also looking into what would be the best way to paint, or wrap the roof of the van which again would require some small amount of sanding of scuffing. we're tempted to use a white bed liner product, but I do not like the rough texture. We may just end up doing a temp wrap on the roof for the car shows we'll be attending next year.
