My advice on scratches like that are not to touch the paint unless you have a thickness guage that will give you a starting point and progress along the way can be seen. Depending on thickness, I would recommend chasing RIDS like that much at all. One never "removes" a scratch, the process of polishing and sanding simply levels the surrounding area to lesson or hide the appearance of the scratch but at a cost of the surrounding clear coat.

Think of it as the lowest point and you're creating a larger "lowest point" to simply hide it. IMO, on a stock factory paint job, not always worth it.

The bottom sanding scratches don't look like you went through and just need buffed out but the top circle of scratches looks like you went through in the middle where it is white.

Thanks for all replies. I will try one of the mentioned compounds and orange pad on speed 6. Yes the white part is on the fender bottom area where it is even thinner due to the curvature. I live in Central California in the San Joaquin Valley.

I found Griots Complete Polish. Would that be the one. I don't see a correcting version.

    Re: Sanded off clear coat

I'm actually looking forward to removing the clear coat from our van all in preparation to have the van repainted. Currently its a dark blue color with a slight hint of purple which we don't like. I'll be using a dishwashing scotch brite sponge pads with small swirls or rotations of the pad on the surface of the van. Although I've tried this on other vehicles, I've yet to try in on the van. I suspect it will retain it's blue color, but end up looking chalky which is what I'm going for. almost like wrapping or spray painting the exterior with flat paint.

Thanks! glad you disapprove and that was my intention to make it look horrible. I may never have to polish or shine the van again. Looks like crap, but the ceramic coated 18'' wheels will shine.
