Re: Need advice - Oxidized Paint Correction on 1968 Dodge Charger

    Before I type more...

Can you get me a GREAT picture of the hood?

For some reason, when I see the hood I see what looks like clearcoat and missing clearcoat.

Stand in front of the car and hold your camera or phone high over the hood and take a shot looking down on the hood.

Next, - e-mail me your phone number and a good time to call.

Sorry, I should have mention that the hood (and a small patch on top of right fender) had some surface rust and exposed metal so I removed the rust and rattle canned it with Rustoleum professional enamel
In regal red. It’s way brighter and shiner than the paint that’s on there but I’m glad to have the rust gone.

Will get a good pic and email you my number. Thank you so much!

    Copy that.

Knowing this, I don't need the hood shot.

Send me your shipping address too. I'm going to send you some BLACKFIRE One Step, my guess is a thorough buffing with this product will restore some color, depth and shine.

Do you have an orbital polisher? If so, what do you have and what size backing plate?

I'd love to see this car after it gets polished back up,,the non perfect "beater" cars that have been long neglected are kind of my favorites,,look forward to the pictures
