Rotary with urofiber 50/50 microfiber pads

I've heard people achieve great results with this combination, and finishing up, if needed, with foam pad and a finer polish. They have a thicker foam between backing plate and pad face. I'm using a 6" Maxshine BP. Thick as well.
    What are your thoughts? Experience?

    PS
.. Hard clear on a C5 Corvette, and I'll be using 3D ACA 500 Xtra cut.

It will work but if you need that much cut on a rotary a wool pad would be a lot easier to control.

I find c5 vette paint to be very nice to work with. Have you tried a compounding foam pad with ACA 500? Foam compounding with 3d 500 on a rotary will get you a long ways.

A microfiber pad on a rotary with 3d ACA 500 will absolutley need a second refining pass to clean things up.

Also can you post a picture of the damage you're going after

    Thanks for your feedback.
To be honest, the paint is in great shape overall.. Especially for a daily ZO6 . Just fine to medium scratches. Gloss and sickness are great. No swirls practically. Paint's never been corrected by previous owner in 17 years. Plenty of clear left.
I just wasn't pleased with the DA plus Mqeguiar's microfiber results I had with D300 or ACA 500.
So I bought a rotary.. I have these great urofiber 50/50 pads and was thinking of having a go. Perhaps I should just purchase a good wool pad or use a heavy cut foam pad as you suggest.

What DA and what speed were you using with the microfiber pads? And these are cutting pads?

I would very much not recommend jumping on a rotary with a wool pad combined with 3D ACA 500.

If the damage is minimal like you say, which it still would be nice to see a picture, I would go with a quality da then would give advice on products after seeing damage trying to be corrected

I've used rotaries.. Never had any issues. Lack of common sense and recklessly applying the tool will get you the above. Never happened. Ever.
    Either way thanks.
