    Accidentally sanded through clear coat

Hoping this is in the correct area as its my first post, not too long ago I sanded/scrubbed through my clear coat while trying to remove some gunk left behind from when I removed my emblem; but now that its happened I need to fix it on a budget. I have been thinking of buying a dupli-color spray can of automotive paint. Im confident in my experience with rattle cans but am obviously worried about it looking different.

    Some suggestions would be great

At the risk of causing a micro aggression, have a pro do it.

You will need to color coat first.
Did you try to buff it out?
