Ive always had a problem with black paint. Im not talking about matalic black, im talking about solid black.

My usal go to is megs d300, on this car a black sn95 mustang it was giving me great results from the over head light.

How ever when I inspected with the sun gun (take no notice if the non buffed off compound).... please help

HDAdapt on Rough Paint where you would normally use a medium compound
HDSpeed in place of your polish

    Both finish excellent.

Menzerna SF4000/4500 or 3500/3800 now are great too. They finish out amazing too.

I'm not great at taking pics and I don't have my lights set up so here's a simple flashlight shot. Dust at the top and a piece of tape on the paint to serve as a focus point.

205 on a finish pad, spritz some water on it while your polishing

In order to trouble shoot this we need to know more information about what you are using and what you have available:

What is potentially giving you this haze?
    Machine:
    Pad:
    Product:
    Machine speed:
    Describe your technique:

What other pads and products do you have available? What else have you tried and what were the results?

D300 with a MF cutting pad is pretty darn aggressive. It will leave tons of marring, you need another step o/c.

You should follow it with hd polish and follow that with essence, $$

D300 and 205 should make that look like a piano. Perhaps you are not working the 205 enough. It looks to me in the picture you just didn't wipe off the 205 enough?
