    Poli-Seal separation fix

So opened a 32oz. bottle of Poli-Seal which still had the seal on top. The bar code was dated 1982. The product was completely separated. Yellowish liquid and white paste (looked to be 3 parts liquid to 1part paste). Looked up on internet for possible fix and found one that worked (can't remember who).
    Here is what I did:
Empty the liquid into two tumblers (it is about 20oz).
Squeeze the paste into a mixing bowl.
Put small amount of liquid back in the product plastic bottle.
Shake for 2 minutes and pour into the mixing bowl (surprise it was just like the original product)
Pour a small amount of fluid into the mixing bowl and stir with a mixing wand like you were making scrambled eggs until the liquid disappears (at this point it will look like it is going take forever but read on).
    THE FIX-Varsol
Pour more liquid in the mixing bowl and pour in two capfulls of Varsol-mix as before
Continue pouring small amount of fluid and Varsol as needed until no more fluid
    Results:
Almost exactly same as new (colour was a bit lighter. I used extra capfull of Varsol to add a little more viscosity.
Pour back into plastic bottle (this can be a bit messy and clean up was a pain).

    Poli-Seal separation fix

Lolz. You should have been a compounding pharmacist. This is pretty much how you make a suspension out of an insoluble drug product. Instead of Varsol, we often use glycerin.
