There are a lot of crossover applications from all categories of existing cleaners.
You can also add to, such as you did, or dilute to suit.
Throw in kitchen chemistry and creating your own cleaners, and you can customize anything to your specific application, or just liking.

Wash, clay, plastic razor blade with invisible glass as lube, quick polish by hand with Duragloss Nuglass then clean up with duragloss Rain repel. Best way I found for exterior. And of course use glass waffle weave MF towels.

Admittedly I did not read the entire thread.
I use Meguairs Glass Cleaner concentrate but I added terry cloth towels back into my regimen for glass. I love MF towels but they were just not cutting it for me on glass. I spray the terry cloth towel, scrub the glass with the wet side then the drier side and then finish with a good MF towel.
Then the Rain-X is all done with terry cloth towels.
The terry is more aggressive and gets me a better looking windshield and the Rain-X process is so much easier.
YMMV
