A 2 ton 12x12 easy up that isn't so easy. What I plan on doing though is soon as I have enough cash flow I'm going to get a 12' trailer and put a 12' long sun setter retractable awning on the side of it. Lol idk but I think this is a crazy good idea lol
I just took a look at these canopies over at Amazon. Based on some of the reviews it appears the way these canopies are measured has changed. Some were saying the dimensions given used to be for the canopy itself but now they're measured at the base and the legs slant out...So the canopy itself and the area shaded would be smaller.
I've never owned one so I can't say that this is true but if it is, it's deceptive and you should check it out before deciding on a size.
How big are 10X10 or 12X12 canopies once folded? Would they fit Inside a minivan or would you need to carry them on a roof rack?
I need to buy one (or 2) really soon.
I have a 10X10 version that I purchased for the shade benefit. Regrettably i've never used it as it is just too much of a pain to pull out, set up and then put away again; taking precious time away from my detailing time.
Fortunately however, they are quite compact; my version when folded and stored in its sleeve stands about 60" high, and is about 8" square. Should fit nicely into a minivan or SUV if you plan it right.
There is a company that makes professional fold up canopies I took photos of it last time I was @ the turkey run in Daytona but DAMIFINO where the pictures are. (I've had computer problems)
This thing was very impressive the one i was looking at was 12 by 20 or 24 & was completely portable.
User tip: get a 5 gallon bucket for every leg & fill up with water to keep your tent from flying into the wind.
