How do you advertise?
Im on my second month and my first 10 days I hit 750.00 for the month but now its slowed down. I have appointments for Wed and Fri but I need work for the other days. How do yall advertise in order to attract more business? Ive been posting all over facebook and im getting tired lol. What do yall do to attract people to come to you for detailing?

Facebook promotions, local events, referral discounts, auto shops, yard signs when I detail, truck trailer logo, and just telling people what you do.

Re: How do you advertise?
^ All of the above, But Now you need to do a lot more research into marketing.
Go door to door, Go to businesses and ask if you can set your business cards there. Host events, Make shirts. So many ways to advert. You just need to sit down and write 100 ways to market. Then Execute your plan.
I love the answer * word of mouth. You would hope that would spread but in reality people could care less. And just shrug everything off and goes into one ear and out the other. Also I hate that answer because people are actually looking for "professional advice" not for a novice answer. For word of mouth to actually work you need a bigger clientele base first off. Hopefully my advice encourages you to get more in depth into marketing. Its quiet fun if you ask me. Definitely builds character.
Also raffles, events and offers.

Get involved with your local Chamber of Commerce. You'll connect with with local business owners who can in turn refer you to their customers. Leave your cards at auto parts stores. At auto repair shops. I also leave mine at local restaurants on the counter. I even offer a little kickback to the people that refer me. It gives them incentive to send business my way.

Re: How do you advertise?
Google adwords
High quality website
Search directories - be in them
Have a good referral program. Make it worth their while to talk about you
Craigslist.. I know a lot of people dont like it, but it is free
If you are looking to fill in the days.. go to some small local car dealerships and do a detail for free. Once they see the quality of your work they will start sending you work. It's no $50/hr type stuff but $20/hr is better than sitting on your tail despairing because you have no business.

I mostly advertise via Craigslist. I get a lot of my customers through it. It sometimes gets annoying refreshing and re posting ads but it is free so can't complain. When I bought my website I got $50 free for Facebook which boosted my page a lot and I plan to spend some more eventually.

Two best things are word of mouth and good reviews is all you need. Thats all I do for advertisement.
