tip for first time foam cannon user

this may be obvious to most but this is one thing i learned using my foam cannon for the 1st. time. keep in mind I've never used my pressure washer for washing vehicle's before.

before i foam up the vehicle I'll spray it down with the wand & then rinse it off with the wand after 4 or 5 min. i found myself reaching out over the hood, fenders & roof with the wand. when you've got the
trigger squeezed you're in control of the wand.

but once you let off the trigger that wand does a nose dive & can send the tip into your paint. if you're reaching out & over it's hard to catch yourself from not doing it.

it might seem simple but i almost screwed up. my foam cannon setup is a stubby setup so i use two hands & have good control (like Elliot Ness using a tommy gun). the wand i use is 18'' long so it's easy to use with one hand. hope this will help someone.

and here's a few pics of using a foam cannon. the truck was washed a week ago but never left the property. i just soaked it down & then rinsed, it can't get any easier.

yes i know I'll need to cut back on the soap

    Good tip.

I don't use a pressure washer as it's a pain to drag it out, set it up etc. By the time I do all that I can have my car or truck washed and dried.

But the tip above is important and thank you for sharing.

glad i could share. Mike, funny you brought up the point of dragging everything out & it being time consuming. because i just put all quick disconnects on my pressure washer, wands & hoses. and that helped speed things up. when you try & drag the pressure washer out with that stiff hose & long wand it get cumbersome to handle. now i could almost carry the washer to where i need it & then grab the hoses & roll them out. of course i just foamed my truck & then dried it so it seemed pretty quick to me. thanks again.
