    Decal adhesive removal

I have a potential client that has a car that had vinyl lettering on it. He removed the letters and is having a difficult time getting the adhesive off. He said he was using alcohol, but it was taking way too much time and effort, so that's why he called me. I've never had to deal with decal adhesive, so my thought was to just buff it out. I thought I would throw it out on the forum because I know some of you have seen this before. Any suggestions would be great. I have not seen the car yet, so I really don't know how much there is. Thanks!
