Post 2014 Dodge Dart Rallye 1.4 Turbo (Hope at last)

A client contacted us weeks ago about getting his car corrected. Let me give you a little break down on the car.

The owner bought this car brand new. The car is about 2 weeks old and yet it was a swirl mess. When he got the car, the dealership gave him the first detail on them. As usual, the car shined at night but when he would look in direct sunlight, he could see heavy swirl marks and haze on the paint.

He gave the body shop another chance to fix their mistakes, well they made it worse. Now when he explained this to me, I felt his pain very well. He didn't even want to drive the car no more at that point, he was disgusted and ashamed. The body shop told him he was crazy and imagining things and that if he wanted to get it fixed again, he would have to pay. Wait what?.....

He was scared and didn't want to take a chance at all so he found us.

After along conversation and listening to him, I booked him to see his car and meet him.

When I arrived at his place and got to know about him more, I was certain that he just wanted his car to be new again. He pulled the car out and even with all the glaze or wax in the car I could already see problems that he was talking about. No, he wasn't crazy at all. Lol.

We settled for our Stage 2 detail. (2 Steps)

    Products used:

    Flex3401
    Über 3.0
    HD Polish
    CG Citrus, CarPro SnowFoam
    IronX, Nanoskin
LC Yellow, Orange, White and Blue
    Eraser
    CG JetSeal
    Pinnacle Souveran.

Washing and decon stages to strip the paint.

After the paint was dried and stripped clean, I began to use Nanoskin to make sure the surface was smooth as possible.

    Paint condition before:

    50/50

    Rear quarter before

    After

    Door 50/50

    50/50

    Hood before

    After

After putting close to 12 long hours, the car was finally done.

    Beauty Shots.

The Owner was super happy and so was I.

    Thanks for looking.

Great work. Looking like it should. The smile on his face says it all.
Hopes he takes it back to the dealership along with the pictures of your 50/50 shots and hands them your bill.

He did, I had many more pictures and they wrote him a check for their mess. Trust me, that's a first. He had all the proofs and with the documentation and pictures of the work it helped him seal the case. He had pressed charges against the shop, so they wrote him the check, charges were dropped, at the end, he was happy no matter what.

A horror story in the beginning and a fairy tale at the end!

Awesome Job Francisco! The last picture tells it all and I bet you were smiling just as much when you took that picture.

It's really a shame that a car that new has to look that way......and after your work it looks like it should. I know you just made a client for life!

I couldn't imagine dealing with that on a new car. I got my car used and they tried to buff it out and call it clean. It was horrible but I figured I would fix it myself once it got warm anyway

Sometimes you are better off doing yourself. AutoGeek is the place to be and you can learn a lot. Tons and tons of info, it's like a Detailing Bible.
